Units taught on the Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology are:

1.  Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Reflexology - students learn about how and why people can become ill. We explore physical and emotional reasoning and consider health and wellbeing as a truly holistic concept. Learning is applied and is delivered throughout the course with real life scenarios.

2. Business Skills for Reflexology Practice - students think about how their business will work for them and what they want from it. We learn about marketing, branding and becoming a specialist in a particular area of interest. We also look at budgeting, cashflow forecasting, diary management and legal requirements for setting up and managing your own business too.

3. Reflexology Skills in Practice - this is the unit where students learn a variety of tools and modalities in order to best support clients. Also covered in this unit is how and why reflexology works and you will undertake six practical observations. We also cover body language, ethics and professionalism.

4. Incremental Development of Applied Reflexology Skills in Practice - in this unit you will learn further modalities including hand, auricular and (new to In-Spires Reflexology College in 2024) facial reflexology.  We also learn how to work energetically and learn about linking, chakras and working within auras. This is the unit where you evidence your practical learning outside the classroom. You will give 100 treatments and write them up as case studies.

5. Providing Reflexology for Specific Conditions - this unit covers looking after clients at all life stages from babies through to end of life. This includes: fertility, maternity, labour, adolescence. menopause, andropause, chronic illness, cancer and palliative care. This unit also covers, 'Adapted Integrated Reflexology' (AIR) which is an exclusive modality only taught by the Integrated Reflexology Consortium Centres. As part of this unit, we also learn how to evaluate a research report and consider how these papers can support the work of today's reflexologist. Part of your assessment for this element will be to consider what you might want to research in relation to reflexology practice in the future.
